Which pass suits you?
Three questions about how long you stay, your pace and what matters to you. The answer is a pass, a combo ticket or the advice to buy single tickets.
How long are you staying in London?
How many paid attractions do you want to visit per day?
What matters more to you?
With several days and lots of attractions per day, the London Pass gives you the most for your money. The code LONDONCP05LP saves you another 5%.
If you want to see two to seven fixed sights, the Explorer Pass is the flexible choice: you take exactly the attractions you will actually visit. The code LONDONCP05 saves you another 5%.
For a short family visit, a Merlin combo ticket is often the cheapest option: London Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE at a bundle price.
With only one or two attractions planned, single tickets are almost always cheaper than a pass. Have a look at the gate prices.
Pass or single tickets in the calculator
Tick what you really want to visit. The calculator puts single tickets against the London Pass and the Explorer Pass.
The two passes that fit most often
Both come from Go City, both are digital and both can be cancelled free of charge for 90 days until you activate them. The difference is how you pay: by days or by attractions.
You want to see a lot in a few days
The London Pass®
LONDONCP05LP- Every attraction in the programme, including the London Eye, The Shard and Madame Tussauds
- 1 to 10 days from your first visit

You only want selected highlights
London Explorer Pass
LONDONCP05- 2 to 7 attractions, freely chosen from the Explorer programme
- 30 days from your first visit

Rule of thumb: a two-day London Pass costs roughly the same as an Explorer Pass for seven attractions. Both side by side

The middle columns show whether the Tower of London, London Eye and Windsor Castle are included. One click shows scope, tickets and cancellation. The cancellation rules differ a lot: Go City refunds direct purchases for 90 days, Turbopass City only for a fee, Merlin not at all.

The other passes
Less in demand, but the better choice for certain trips.
Turbopass London
A shorter list than Go City, but with the London Dungeon, SEA LIFE and Shrek’s Adventure. The London Eye costs extra with the Turbopass City; with the Turbopass Flex you can choose it. Prices in euros.
To the Turbopass 2 to 7 attractionsHeadout Pass London
Works like the Explorer Pass, with premium attractions such as the Tower of London and London Eye. The only pass here that includes the Houses of Parliament.
See it in the table London Eye in a bundleMerlin combo tickets
The London Eye plus Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE, London Dungeon or Shrek’s Adventure at a bundle price. Often the cheapest choice for families on a short stay, but non-refundable.
To the combo ticketsFour trips, four recommendations
Four typical London trips and the pass most likely to suit each.
First time in London, three days
The Tower of London, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s, The Shard and the hop-on hop-off bus cost £223 together if you buy them separately. Add Windsor or a boat trip and the pass comes out ahead.
Family with children
At Go City, children aged 5 to 15 pay the child price; under 5s do not need a pass. With children you rarely manage more than two attractions a day, so the Explorer Pass with four or five sights often works out cheaper. For the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE there is the Merlin bundle.
A weekend in London
In two days you can fit in four, maybe five big sights. Then it is better to pay for exactly those four than for two full days. If you run out of time, nothing is lost with the Explorer Pass: you have 30 days for the remaining visits.
Five days or more, packed schedule
The longer the pass, the cheaper each day: the 5-day pass works out at £49.00 per day. The day ticket for the hop-on hop-off bus alone costs £56. If you visit two or three sights on most days, you are well ahead.

“Included” means it is covered by the price. “To choose” means it is one of the attractions you pick for your pass. “Premium choice” counts as a premium attraction on the Headout Pass, and “at extra cost” is an add-on you book with the Turbopass City. With the Merlin combo tickets it depends on the bundle you choose. Provider pages as of: 9 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Which London pass gives the best value?
It depends on how long you stay and what you plan to do. With two or more days and three paid attractions a day, the London Pass gives you the most for your money. With two to seven fixed sights, the Explorer Pass is usually cheaper. With one or two attractions, single tickets are the better buy.
What is the difference between the London Pass and the Explorer Pass?
With the London Pass you pay for 1 to 10 days and visit as many attractions in the programme as you can manage in that time. With the Explorer Pass you pay for 2 to 7 attractions and have 30 days from your first visit. Both come from Go City, and the attractions largely overlap.
Are the Tower of London, London Eye and Windsor Castle in every pass?
The London Pass includes all three, and with the Explorer Pass you can choose all three. The Turbopass City has the Tower, the London Eye only at extra cost and Windsor Castle not at all. On the Headout Pass, the Tower and London Eye count as premium attractions, and Windsor is available to choose. With the Merlin combo tickets, the London Eye depends on the bundle you pick; the Tower and Windsor are not part of them.
Is public transport included in any of the passes?
No. None of the passes includes the Tube, regular buses or trains. They only include sightseeing rides such as the hop-on hop-off bus and boats on the Thames. For public transport you pay contactless with a card or phone, or get a Visitor Oyster Card.
How does cancellation work at Go City?
If you buy the London Pass or Explorer Pass directly, you can return it for a full refund within 90 days of purchase, as long as the pass is not activated. It is activated with your first visit. If you buy from another seller, that seller’s rules apply.
Is there a discount code for the London Pass?
Yes. LONDONCP05LP saves you 5% on the London Pass on londonpass.com, and LONDONCP05 saves you 5% on the Explorer Pass on gocity.com. Larger discounts only come with Go City’s limited-time offers.
Both Go City passes at a discount
Go City’s codes save you 5% on both passes, and you can cancel free of charge for 90 days until you activate them.
