These attractions are missing
The London Explorer Pass is a comprehensive sightseeing pass but does not include some attractions that may be of interest to visitors. The following attractions cannot be visited with the Explorer Pass:
- Madame Tussauds
- Windsor Castle
- HMS Belfast
Also, London Explorer Pass does not give you priority entry.
Reservations with the Explorer Pass
Please note that some attractions require you to book in advance. This is especially true for The Shard and Kensington Palace. The Shard can only be visited until late afternoon, but unfortunately not in the evening.
Guided tours: For all guided city tours, the bike tour and some other attractions you also need to book in advance. Reservations can be made online, by email or by phone. We recommend that you book a few days in advance.

Although the London Explorer Pass is a very good product, there are also some disadvantages that we would like to point out. We do not like the following aspects:
- London Explorer Pass does not offer priority access to the attractions. You will need to queue at the box office to collect your free ticket.
- Public transport cannot be used with the Explorer Pass.
- For some services you have to make a reservation yourself.
- Some attractions are not included in Explorer Pass: Madame Tussauds, HMS Belfast and Windsor Castle.
- The Explorer Pass is not worthwhile for many of the included attractions. It is recommended that you only use the pass for attractions worth £30 or more.
Our evaluation: Is the Explorer Pass worth it?
We think the London Explorer Pass is suitable for visitors who don't want to do much sightseeing and mainly visit expensive attractions. For cheap attractions, the Explorer Pass is not worth it. If you want to do a lot of sightseeing, better buy the London Pass.
With a validity of 60 days, time is not an issue. Another advantage is that you don't have to pick up the London Explorer Pass, you can use it on your phone.
One disadvantage is that you have to take care of some reservations yourself. In addition, you do not enjoy preferential admission and have to expect waiting times in high season.
